Since it’s sometimes nice to stay at the Château in the evening, we’ve created “La petite table du Château”, a simple, friendly, and delicious dining experience to enjoy right here without having to get back in the car.

As the seasons change, we prepare a selection of delicious dishes using ingredients we love. Vegetables from the garden are transformed into fresh creams and gazpachos in the summer, featuring zucchini, cucumber, apple, and tomatoes, while the fall harvest inspires savory hot soups. We also offer charcuterie platters, prepared with products from our local artisan, as well as regional cheese platters.

La Petite Table du Château is not a restaurant; it’s a simple and pleasant way to dine on-site, with high-quality ingredients, in an exceptional setting. You can settle into the Château’s lounges or take advantage of nice weather to dine outdoors and extend your evening in the heart of the estate.

La Petite Table is available by reservation only, at least 24 hours in advance. Unpretentious cuisine, featuring high-quality ingredients, ensures that the pleasure of your stay at the Château naturally extends into the evening.

What if your next horseback riding camp were also a chance to spend a few days in a castle ?

At Château d'Ygrande, we have designed our equestrian getaway to be a well-rounded experience, where improving your riding skills goes hand in hand with the pleasure of staying in a charming estate.

Every day, two hours are devoted to horseback riding, either in private lessons or in very small groups. The program is fully customized to the riders’ goals and skill levels : introductory and exploratory sessions for beginners, advanced training for those who want to improve, or more intensive coaching for experienced riders seeking to enhance their performance.

The sessions alternate between athletic training and leisure time on horseback. Depending on your preferences, you can ride in the outdoor arena or the indoor riding arena, then set out to explore the estate and the Bourbonnais countryside on trail rides. The stables feature two outdoor arenas and an indoor arena with micro-sand surfacing, as well as a team experienced in show jumping, hunter, and dressage.

The herd is diverse and consists of well-trained, calm, and well-balanced horses that spend most of their time grazing in the vast open spaces of the estate. But your stay doesn’t end when you dismount. After your riding sessions, you can return to the comfort of the Château’s guest rooms, its cozy and welcoming lounges, and the tranquility of its forty hectares. In the morning, breakfast features local produce whenever possible. Between activities, everyone can enjoy the pool, the walking trails, or simply take some time to relax. And all of this is made possible by a skilled, friendly, and attentive staff, whose top priority is to make your stay a pleasant experience and to best meet the expectations of every rider.

One night to stop over, two nights to explore Ygrande.

A night at Château d'Ygrande is already a wonderful experience. But to truly discover the place, one night is often far too short. Because here, the Château is much more than just a place to stay. It’s a 40-hectare estate to explore on foot, featuring a wooded area crisscrossed with trails, a pond, meadows where horses graze, and stables where you can watch sport horses being worked and trained.

It's also the pleasure of taking your time, listening to music in the living rooms, settling in by the fire when the evenings turn cool, or simply doing nothing and gazing at the scenery.

And then, around the castle, there’s a wealth of cultural heritage to discover, the Bourbon castles, the Franciscan and Cistercian abbeys, the remarkable gardens and arboretums, and the museums dedicated to stage costumes and street art… The Bourbonnais region has plenty of surprises in store for those who take the time to explore it.

So why leave so soon ? If you choose to stay at least two nights, you’ll save €20 per night compared to the one-night rate. That’s a great reason to extend your stopover and turn a simple layover into a real vacation. Because at Ygrande, the time you spend at the Château is part of the journey.

What if your horse could come on vacation with you ? The idea seems obvious… and yet, places where you can spend a few days with your horse while enjoying a real vacation are rare. That’s exactly what we’ve created at Château d’Ygrande. You arrive with your horse, and we’ll welcome it to the stables, in a stall or out in the pasture, depending on your preferences and your horse’s habits. While you enjoy the Château, your horse gets to enjoy the estate too : vast pastures, trails for walks, and wide-open spaces where he can relax and, why not, treat himself to a few good gallops.

You’re free to ride whenever you like and take advantage of our professional facilities : two outdoor arenas and an indoor arena with micro-sand flooring. You can also choose to train with our instructors. A few coaching sessions allow you to benefit from an outside, professional, and supportive perspective, and sometimes discover new ways to work with your horse. But above all, the idea is to share a vacation with your horse, at your own pace : train with him, go for a ride, gallop through the pastures, and then return to the tranquility and pleasures of the Château.

After spending time with your horse, you’ll return to the Château : a comfortable room, the home’s cozy lounges, the grounds and their paths, the heated pool (in season), and breakfast that features local produce whenever possible. Here, you no longer have to choose between going away for a few days and leaving your horse behind. You go together. You ride together. You enjoy yourselves together.
